MCMXLVII This book is in very good condition with some foxing to the inside front cover.
I don't know exactly which printing that this copy is but I do know that those of you that are interested will want to know what the "author notes" say; "The material in this little red book is an outgrowth of a series of notes originally prepared for "12 Steps" instruction to A. A. discussion meetings. Its distribution is founded on a desire to "Carry the Message" in recognition of our return to sane living after alcoholism had made Life all but impossible.
Many groups, in meeting the A.A. Recovery Program expounded in the Big Book, "Alcoholics Anonymous", as an outline for study of that book. Worthwhile results have followed the inaugration of weekly classes devoted to guidance of new members in their quest for a better understanding of the "12 Steps" as a way of life.
These classes, directed by qualified members, have created a solidarity of understanding within our Fellowship that has been good for the groups as a whole. Consequently, there has been a closer adherence to the Big Book, better understanding and application of its philosophy, more effective sponsorship and noticeable reduction in slips among our members.
